Burgess’ fiancee angered by nightclub photo

South Sydney star Tom Burgess was snapped at the weekend talking to an unknown woman in a Gold Coast nightclub, but his fiancee Tahli Giumelli has hit back.

The Daily Telegraph reported that Burgess, the younger brother of former South Sydney players Sam and Luke and the twin of George, attended Sin City in the early hours of Saturday morning after the Rabbitohs clawed back a 24-10 half-time deficit against the Titans to win 40-30 on Friday night.

Burgess and his crew were sat in a private booth at the nightclub as another clubgoer took a photo of the NRL forward chatting to a mystery blonde.

Giumelli, who is mother to Burgess’ two-year-old daughter Sophie and five-month-old Elodie and is currently planning their wedding, responded to the images on social media on Sunday.

“God forbid a female sits next to Tom on a night out with his entire team,” Giumelli wrote.

“Would this same article be written about me if I was sat next to a guy on a night out?”

Tom and Tahlia announced their engagement in December, 2019, and are planning their wedding in secret to keep the date as low-key as possible.
