Bradford snap up Super League winger

Bradford have made their first new signing ahead of 2020, after bringing in experienced winger Greg Johnson from Salford.

The 29-year-old has signed a one-year deal after spending the past six seasons with the Red Devils.

He has also had spells with Huddersfield, Wakefield and Batley, making over career 140 appearances and scoring 70 tries.

He is also a Jamaica international and was part of the side that recently took on the England Knights at Headingley.

“I had six good years at Salford but the time was right to leave, I have got to get back on the field week in, week out and reinvent myself, he said. “I am a runner so hopefully that will result in a lot of tries this year.

“Bradford is a massive club that has had its ups and downs but coming into the Championship is a new challenge for me and I am looking forward to it.”

Bradford head coach John Kear added: “Greg is a high quality player – he has had a very good Super League career and we are certain he will re-establish himself as one of the country’s top wingers.”
