Bradford Bulls fight off major interest to tie down new signing

Bradford Bulls have added yet another signing to their ranks ahead of the 2023 Championship season.

Earlier on today, the West Yorkshire club announced the signing of powerful forward Brad Foster from London Broncos on a one-year deal

The forward joins us from the capital club London Broncos, bringing his powerful running nature and no-nonsense style to Mark Dunning’s 2023 Bradford Bulls.

Brad enjoyed a successful season in London, playing 24 games and scoring two tries as the Broncos steered themselves away from relegation and ended the season on a winning note.

Foster has also enjoyed time in League One at Doncaster, where he played with fellow Bull Brad England before he made the move to Bradford.

The 26 year old joins an ever-growing number of players to sign up to 2023, including Chester Butler, Brad England and Ben Blackmore in a new look Bradford Bulls.

The new signing commented on the move and what made him choose Bradford Bulls for 2023.

“The club is going places and me and Mark (Dunning) both share the same ideas, I wanted to come on board and I think I can offer this club a lot personally,” said Foster.

“When I sat down with Mark (Dunning), the kind of team he wants to build I believe I’ll fit in really well here, it’s a good move for me.

“It’s quite a mixture of emotions moving to a different club, but I’m looking forward to it, just not looking forward to the initiation song!

“We finished the season strongly at London, I can’t wait to get here for pre-season and hopefully get a good start under my belt.

“I’m good friends with Brad (England) and I know that’ll have a task on here to get a place in the squad, but I’m fully committed to working hard to achieve that.

“I know that if you aren’t pulling your weight or doing what Mark (Dunning) requires of you, you won’t be in that 17 so I know what I need to do, I’m not afraid to let someone know if they’re not pulling their weight.

“I’m a hard-working player, I give 100% every game and won’t back out of a tackle, I’m looking forward to playing in front of the Bradford fans.”

Head Coach Mark Dunning discussed the characteristics that Brad will bring to the group in 2023, commenting on his “enthusiasm and commitment”.

“I’m very pleased to have Brad on board for 2023, he brings a lot of enthusiasm and commitment, he’s been down in London this year and shown up particularly well.”, said Dunning.

“He’s ready to move back to Yorkshire and he’s really excited about the move, he’ll be a real asset to us.

“Brad’s (Foster) a real hard-working middle unit player, he’s the type of man that’ll mop up 20-30 tackles per half and carry the ball hard.

“He was sought after and we’re pleased to have him here for next year, it’s a big coup for the club and we’re all excited to have him on board.

“We know he’s very fit and athletic, so he ticks all the boxes and he still has that burning desire to play at the very best level.”
