Barrow Raiders vs Huddersfield Giants: Kick-off time, TV channel and predicted line-ups

Huddersfield Giants have started the season brilliantly in 2022 with just two defeats in six.

In form and playing good rugby league, the Giants will fancy their chances of going far in the Challenge Cup with a quarter-final waiting against Hull FC if they can get through Barrow Raiders today in what could be a massive opportunity for both the Giants and the Black and Whites.

However, Barrow should not be taken lightly. After Featherstone’s loss yesterday, the Raiders are the only unbeaten team left in the top two divisions and will play with absolute freedom this afternoon.

Kick-off time and TV channel

The game kicks off at 16:30.

TV coverage will start at 16:00 on BBC Two.

Predicted Line-ups

Barrow Raiders
The Raiders have no shortage of Super League experience. Former Grand Finalist Gary Wheeler will likely play centre with former Wakefield hooker Josh Wood at nine. Meanwhile, ex-Hull FC centre Hakim Miloudi will figure at centre as he continues his superb partnership with Tee Ritson. The ever dangerous Jarrod Sammut will play at six this time joined by Ryan Johnston which was not the case in the last round of the cup.

Huddersfield Giants
Without the suspended Will Pryce for 10 games, Ian Watson is going to have to restructure his spine and this game against Barrow is the perfect chance to get things settled. Ashton Golding, a fullback by trade, will play his first game of 2022 in the role as Tui Lolohea joins Olly Russell in the halves. In the pack, the absence of Chris Hill and Chris McQueen will give opportunities to the likes of Joe Greenwood and Sebastine Ikahihifo to start. Sam Hewitt may also feature in the starting 13 with no Ollie Roberts to figure at second-row. We could also see a rare appearance from Michael Lawrence.
