For all the star names on the pitch yesterday as Leeds Rhinos and Wigan Warriors collided in the Challenge Cup, it was a star of the future who proved crucial and levelled the scores.
Junior Nsemba, in the side as Wigan deal with a number of injuries in the pack, came off the bench and scored a lovely try to level the game at 14-all as Wigan completed the comeback.
Speaking on BBC after the game, the young and very tall forward opened up on the moment:
“It was really special because I knew I had the fans right there. It means so much because I love this club.”
He also expressed how much it would mean to his family:
“My mum couldn’t make it today but she was able to watch it online so I am sure she’s celebrating at home.”
Lastly he made a huge statement about wanting the number 11 shirt:
“I want to play more games, I want to start some games. I want the number 11 shirt. I am working with Willie Isa but I want to take him over.
“It is about competing and Willie has taught me a lot of things, he’s a great role model.”
