Adrian Lam has been revealed as a possible target for the head coach vacancy at Hull FC with reports that there has already been contact made.
That’s per Jenna Brooks of Sky Sports who reported the initial contact live on Sky Sports ahead of Warrington Wolves’ game against FC.
Brooks was discussing the club’s lack of true progress in their hunt for a new head coach since they were knocked back by Paul Rowley. That saw her shortlist eleven names, of which Adrian Lam had been added as the eleventh.

The Australian presenter explained that she had added Lam to the list following the shock transfer news that broke earlier of John Asiata to Hull FC, the Leigh Leopards’ skipper signing a three-year deal from 2025 onwards.
That was then compounded by Brian Carney’s reveal that Hull FC had made an approach to Adrian Lam.
Carney explained: “Paul Rowley was rumoured to be offered a very lucrative contract at Hull FC, which I’m sure in the small world of rugby league will have pricked the ears and caught the attention of other Super League coaches.
“Jenna is absolutely right to suggest that Adrian Lam may be at Hull FC next year. I believe an approach has been made.”
One of the key reasons for the links would be that Lam is off contract at the end of the campaign, just like his star player Asiata who has now been confirmed as making the switch to West Hull.
Another reason would be that so many other head coaches have been linked and then had those links dismissed, Brian McDermott being the latest of those.
She also quantified tonight that McDermott wouldn’t be heading to Hull, explaining that the former Leeds Rhinos head coach is “extremely happy in the NRL”.
