Six live Rugby League matches on TV this week as Channel 4 coverage returns

Round six of the Championship concluded last night with Batley hosting Barrow, albeit at Dewsbury, and as such another week of rugby league was in the books.

The coming week sees plenty more rugby league on TV with action coming from Super League and NRL, including a free-to-air Super League clash.

Thursday 23rd March

Parramatta Eels vs Penrith Panthers: 9:05am on Sky Main Event/Arena
Huddersfield Giants vs St Helens: 8:00pm on Sky Sports Arena/Mix

The NRL action sees a repeat of the 2022 Grand Final and Penrith are fresh off a bye week as they head to Parramatta. As for the evening action it sees St Helens, who slayed Penrith just over a month ago, travelling to face Huddersfield Giants with both teams looking to truly kick-start their season and recreate their 2022 form.

Friday 24th March

The Dolphins vs Brisbane Broncos: 9:05am on Sky Main Event/Arena
Wigan Warriors vs Salford Red Devils: 8:00pm on Sky Sports Arena

Friday treats us to the first ever Brisbane derby as NRL new side the Dolphins, based in Redcliffe, host the other Brisbane side with the Broncos aiming to end Wayne Bennett’s winning start. Originally scheduled for the English action was Wakefield and Hull KR, however pitch worries have caused Sky to jump ship and broadcast Wigan who host a Salford side with two wins on the spin.

Saturday 25th March

Leeds Rhinos vs Catalans Dragons: 1:00pm on Channel 4

Saturday’s offering sees the return of free-to-air Super League with Channel 4 showing unbeaten Catalans’ visit to Headingley to face Leeds. With the Rhinos coming off a shock loss to Castleford they’ll be keen to bounce back but face a tough test against Steve McNamara’s men.

Sunday 26th March

St George Illawarra vs Cronulla Sharks: 8:15am on Sky Main Event

The weekend is rounded off with a clash between St George and Cronulla. Both teams are coming off a loss but Craig Fitzgibbon’s Cronulla head into the match as favourites.
