Ireland have named a strong looking 19 man squad for their World Cup opener against Jamaica
Ged Corcoran has named his first Ireland squad as Head Coach, and it is filled with talent as they look to get their campaign started on the right note.
With a starting 13 full of Super League and NRL stars, the Wolfhounds could cause a few upsets at this World Cup.
As many as 10 players could end up making their debut for Ireland in this fixture, with Sydney Roosters stand off Luke Keary set for his first appearance in green.
Keary makes up part of what is a solid looking spine for the Wolfhounds which also includes Leeds Rhinos Richie Myler and fullback and Hull KR’s George King at loose forward
King is captain for his second World Cup in a row after leading Ireland at the 2017 tournament and will be hoping himself and his teammates can take Ireland to the knockout stage of the competition after failing to do so in 2017 and 2013.
