Yesterday, Hull FC rocked the rugby league when they let go of Marc Sneyd and brought in former Man of Steel Luke Gale from rivals Leeds Rhinos.
The Black and Whites secured Gale on a one-year deal from Leeds with the former Rhinos skipper eager to take on a new challenge and, with the arrival of Aidan Sezer and Blake Austin, Leeds were happy to let the former Cas man go.
It still came as a huge shock to most Leeds fans, after all it’s only 13 months since Gale’s drop goal at Wembley sealed a fourteenth Challenge Cup for the Rhinos and it was no doubt strange to see him pictured as a Hull FC player for the first time today.
Gale, in an official Hull FC jacket, stood holding a Hull FC scarf with the words ‘Old Faithful’ written across it in his new home: the MKM Stadium.
Hull FC posted the image tonight with the caption ‘Time to get down to business…” an ominous warning for the rest of the league.
Time to get down to business…💪
📸 Welcome to your new home, @snozzer_gale! 👋

Unsurprisingly, it caused quite the stir across social media as some fans applauded the image.

One fan was just pleased he held the scarf the right way round unlike another of their signings was accused of.

Another supporter begged him to take on the line with the ball in hand.
Try to take the line on wig boy.

Some supporters found themselves arguing over the quality of the signing.
Wow. Clearly you don’t know much about rugby league.

Once again, some voiced their excitement at the potential link up between Gale and star player Jake Connor.
Ignore the idiots Luke. Welcome to the famous black & whites! Looking forward to watching you linking up with Jake The Snake. Absolute menace combination!
