Zak Hardaker has seemingly criticised Leeds Rhinos’ Mikolaj Oledzki for a tackle on him during Wigan’s 8-0 loss to the Rhinos last week.
The Super League Instagram account posted a video of Oledzki’s crunching tackle on Hardaker as the latter ran the ball back from a kick.
However, Hardaker – along with numerous other supporters – have criticised the hit, deeming it a shoulder charge.
The Wigan man said: “The old no arms tackle tek (technique)! Love it” as others responded in the same fashion.
That 8-0 loss at home to Leeds proved to be head coach Adrian Lam’s last in charge, with the former Papua New Guinean halfback failing to win a major trophy in his time at the DW Stadium, despite a League Leaders’ Shield victory last season.
