Women’s Challenge Cup semi-final draw

The Women’s Challenge Cup semi-final draw has now been completed and means we could have a repeat of last year’s final at Elland Road or even a repeat of last year’s Grand Final with both 2021 major final runners-up to meet in the final four.

That’s because beaten Challenge Cup finalists York City Knights take on Super League Grand Final runners-up Leeds Rhinos in the semi-finals. That’s after comprehensive quarter-final wins earlier today. York are looking to win the trophy for the first time whilst Leeds are hoping to add to their triumphs in 2018 and 2019.

St Helens are the other confirmed side in the last four as they look to retain their Challenge Cup in 2022. The Saints had a clean sweep of silverware in 2021 and are the team to beat again this season.

They’ll meet the winner of Featherstone vs Wigan tonight in the other semi-final meaning we could see a derby in the semis as we will in the men’s with St Helens and Wigan set to lock horns in the final four of the men’s Challenge Cup as well.

The semi-finals take place at Warrington’s Halliwell Jones Stadium on the 24th April with the final held ahead of the men’s semi-finals on May 7th at Elland Road.
