Wigan Warriors fans unhappy after NRL journalist’s dismissive comment

In a major boost for Wigan Warriors in the World Club Challenge, their opponents Penrith Panthers have lost Jarome Luai for the clash between the Super League and NRL Champions.

This was confirmed by Head Coach Ivan Cleary as he prepares to take on Wigan Warriors.

“He won’t play in the World Club Challenge because he’s not just ready,” he said in reports Australia.

“He can continue his rehab, and he deserves to be there as a reward for everything he’s done for our team and our club. He’s super close, I just want him staying with the team and training.”

Penrith are hopeful though that Luai will be fit for their Round 1 clash with the Storm on Friday, March 8.

“I think losing last year, and seeing what it meant to St Helens, it made us all realise how big a deal it is,” Cleary said.

After this news, The Mole claimed that only now do Wigan have a chance of winning. Which prompted anger among Wigan fans.

One said: “Wigan were always a chance. Penrith don’t have what it takes to become undisputed world champions.”

Another added: “You know Penrith lost at home last year right?”

This line of thinking continued with one fan saying: “NRL clubs think they can compete with the big boys.”

Meanwhile, another fan said: “Wigan were a chance anyway!”

Some Wigan fans had fun saying: “Scared he’s going to be shown up by Harry Smith.”

I was looking forward to going to few games this season after a seven year break due to illness , however if I have to go through ticketmaster every time I just won’t bother , I always used to ring up and get a ticket sent to my home address . I hate using the computer to purchase anything.
