Watch: Leeds loanee scores wonder try

Last year as Leeds marched towards Wembley, they relied on their youngsters in midweek Super league fixtures.

One young lad who caught the eye was winger Liam Tindall. On debut against Catalans, he produced one of the best nearly moments of the season when he weaved through six or seven Catalans first teamers on his way to the try line. Sadly, he was hauled down before he could poach a debut try. Later in the season he cross for his first Super League try away at St Helens however.

2021 has been less fruitful for the youngster. Yes, Leeds have had injuries but few on the wings with Tom Briscoe being one of Leeds’ ever-presents during the campaign. Subsequently, he’s found opportunities hard to come by making just one appearance this season prompting a loan move to Doncaster where he has really impressed.

The winger claimed the Man of the Match in their 22-12 win over Workington Town scoring a try and creating another.

The try he scored was particularly special. He claimed a high kick with complete ease, bounced off a huge tackle before weaving through the Workington defence, rounding the fullback and showing great pace to finish the move off in the corner.

Perhaps he’s the future of the Leeds outside backs alongside the likes of Harry Newman and Jack Broadbent.
