Sky Sports have unveiled their new service, Sky Sports+, which will be the new way to watch every Super League game, starting from August.
Up to now, Sky Sports have been broadcasting games across their TV channels, usually Action, Arena and Mix.
However, when their new three-year rights deal was annnounced last year, it was stated that every game would be shown “across Sky Sports channels and platforms”, suggesting that a new service was always likely to be brought into the frame.
Indeed, for the start of the 2024/25 English Football League season, Sky Sports+ will be launching.

How will Sky Sports+ affect me?
Sky Sports say: “Once live, customers with a full Sky Sports subscription won’t need to do a thing; Sky Sports+ will simply drop into the existing Sky experience, across Sky Glass, Sky Stream, Sky Q, and NOW.
“The revamped Sky Sports App will also become the ultimate home of sports streaming on mobile devices with Sky Sports+ streams accessible via event centres in the app.
“New personalisation features will help fans follow their favourite teams and competitions more easily. An improved multi-sports scores section will offer fixtures, live scores and an extended view beyond the usual seven-day football calendar. Refreshed design and navigation, including a much-requested dark mode will improve usability.”
Super League on Sky Sports+
Existing Sky Sports members will not have to pay extra for the new service, meaning the new home of Super League will, in theory, not cause a huge change for fans.
Every single Super League game, for the duration of the deal, will be available live on Sky Sports+, just as it has been across Sky Sports channels this year.
Despite the similar name, this is separate to SuperLeague+, which is a service run by Super League and not Sky Sports.
It’s another dimension to Super League’s ever-changing broadcast coverage in 2024, with IMG’s impact on the sport and working to get the competition shown on as many TV channels and streaming services as possible coming to fruition.
