Warrington Wolves reportedly sign their second major target as Daryl Powell begins rebuild

Warrington Wolves look to have added a Super League star to their ranks for 2023 and beyond.

The Cheshire club have been on the hunt for new blood ever since a lightweight pack has suffered against the larger forwards this season.

That has prompted Warrington and head coach Daryl Powell to look elsewhere, with the Wolves reportedly picking the brains of the NRL to bring in new recruits.

However, the first one through the door, according to the The Mole is Catalans Dragons forward Sam Kasiano, who was linked with a move to the UK a week ago by Rugby League Live.

The Mole at the World Wide of Sports wrote: “Warrington has been desperate to bolster its small pack for next season and has already signed one of the biggest men in the game – massive former Bulldogs prop Sam Kasiano from Catalans.”

If the signing is true, it would be a welcome addition for Powell and his pack with Kasiano one of the most destructive forwards to have played in both hemispheres.

Warrington have also been heavily linked with Canterbury Bulldogs duo Matt Dufty and Paul Vaughan as well as Wests Tigers forward Thomas Mikaele, who is just 24 years of age.
