Warrington Wolves winger Tom Lineham has revealed that he has contracted the coronavirus in a video on the club’s YouTube page.
Lineham revealed his partner, who works on the frontline at Wigan hospital, contracted the virus whilst at work and brought it home.
He has been suffering for the last week with it, and is still experiencing some symptoms.
He said: “I’ve had the virus. It’s got me.
“My Mrs, she’s on the frontline, works at Wigan hospital. She contracted the virus and brought it home. So, for a week, we’ve been fighting it off.
“I’ve felt like Ive been hit like a bus, I’ve had all the symptoms. Fever, blowing hot one minute and then freezing cold the next.
“I felt like the dogs were sitting on my chest, breathing difficulties. Aching, head to toe, and now I’ve lost all sense of smell and taste.
“I’ve been out of action for a week. With the lockdown, I had a pretty good routine before that. But the virus got me, so I’m trying to fight that off and come out on the other side.”
