Three potential signings for the three Super League clubs likely to do business

Most Super League clubs have finished their business ahead of the 2023 Super League season.

That said, there are three teams who could make signings as they all have quota spots available.

So, here are the three Super League teams likely to make signings and three targets they could consider.

Leigh Leopards: Dylan Napa, Umyla Hanley, Jared Waerea-Hargreaves
After the Leopards made 10 signings at their launch, Derek Beaumont confirmed they were still interested in a middle forward. Now they have a quota spot after Nene MacDonald headed to Leeds Rhinos and Blake Ferguson left on compassionate grounds. Thus, they could make a move for ex-Catalans Dragons Dylan Napa or indeed Jared Waerea-Hargreaves as rumoured by some. He is set to struggle for game time in the NRL this year. They could also do with a winger to replace Ferguson and they’re likely to move for Wigan Warriors youngster Umyla Hanley.

Catalans Dragons: Steven Marsters, Jared Waerea-Hargreaves, Albert Kelly
The Dragons have two quota spots fill and want a centre and a prop. They were the first club linked with Jared Waerea-Hargreaves and could make a move for him if he becomes available. Steven Marsters meanwhile seems like a likely option at centre. However, they could take a different approach if they struggle to sign a centre. They could move Tyrone May there and sign a halfback such as former Hull FC and Hull KR star Albert Kelly.

Salford Red Devils: Ava Seumanufagai, Reece Hoffman, Emry Pere
The Red Devils have one quota spot left after Sitaleki Akuaola left for Toulouse Olympique. Thus, they may use it on a forward. Former Leeds Rhinos prop Ava Seumanufagai was rumoured to be headed Super League again. He would be a great replacement. Meanwhile, NRL forwards in the versatile Reece Hoffman and former Maori All Stars player Emry Pere would be great signings too.
