Super League referee appointments: Liam Moore to take charge of huge game

The final round of Super League will see Wigan Warriors travel to face Leigh Leopards in a crucial game in the battle for the League Leaders’ Shield, whilst it’s pivotal for Leigh’s pursuit of fourth spot and a home play off game.

Leigh are in a battle with Hull KR for fourth who take on the already relegated Wakefield Trinity elsewhere on Friday.

As for Wigan, they are battling with St Helens and Catalans Dragons for the League Leaders’ Shield.

Saints are battling Hull FC whilst Catalans Dragons are set to take on Salford Red Devils who are striving to sneak into sixth at the expense of Warrington Wolves who take on Huddersfield Giants.

The other game this weekend is a dead rubber with Leeds Rhinos taking on Castleford Tigers.

This game will be under the command of new referee James Vella.

The Sky game will be under the command of Liam Moore who will be backed up by Marcus Griffiths as video referee.

Tom Grant is in charge at Huddersfield, Ben Thaler is in charge at St Helens, Salford’s game is under the command of Jack Smith whilst Chris Kendall is in charge at Belle Vue.
