Super League Predictions: Huge shock result and title contenders beaten at home

The next round of Super League is nearly upon us.

Round 17 of the Betfred Super League is round and it could again be a huge one in the story of this season.

But who will come away with the wins this time around and take steps towards Old Trafford and the Grand Final.

Warrington Wolves 16-20 Leeds Rhinos
The feeling at these two clubs is very different after last week. Warrington Wolves feel like a side in a strife after a poor run of form whilst there is new optimism at Headingley after their huge 54-0 win over Huddersfield Giants and that momentum could continue into this week.

St Helens 20-6 Castleford Tigers
Expect a reaction from Super League and World Champions St Helens this week after their shock defeat to Hull FC last week. Castleford will have confidence after their win over Warrington Wolves but it will be tough to back up.

Wigan Warriors 22-12 Huddersfield Giants
Speaking of reactions, expect one from Huddersfield. The Giants have been struggling and after their huge defeat last week will put up a real battle against Wigan but Matt Peet’s men will have too much.

Leigh Leopards 12-20 Hull KR
A huge game in the play-off battle, it should be one of the games of the round. There is new confidence at Hull KR and still some key players missing for the Leopards so Hull KR could edge this one.

Wakefield Trinity 16-14 Salford Red Devils
Wakefield nearly beat Salford earlier this season and with the Red Devils now struggling with injuries in the spine this could be the perfect time for Wakefield to meet Salford and breath new life into the relegation battle.

Hull FC 18-19 Catalans Dragons
There is a new optimism at Hull FC which has been growing for weeks but peaked when they beat the Champions last week. Thus they should really challenge Catalans Dragons this time around but the League Leaders should edge.
