Super League hooker makes immediate loan move

We have seen plenty of loan moves in Super League lately and another has just been confirmed.

It sees Salford Red Devils allow one of their players leave despite having one of the smallest squads in the league.

They also have injury problems with the likes of Tim Lafai and Ken Sio out.

Ryan Brierley looked set to join them when he went off against Leeds Rhinos with what wasn’t a routine head injury but rather a scratch to his eye similar to the one that saw him ruled out for five weeks in 2021 but he remains fit allowing the club to let Amit Bourouh go out on loan to Swinton Lions as it means Chris Atkin can continue to provide utility value off the bench.

Bourouh joined the club from Wigan Warriors and played in last year’s semi-final defeat but instead of meeting St Helens on Saturday in a rematch he could figure for the Lions.

In a statement made by the club they said:

”We can confirm Amir Bourouh has joined @Swinton_Lions on a two-week loan and will be available for their clash against Bradford Bulls this weekend!”
