Super League club forced to bring in player back from Championship club

Leeds Rhinos, Wigan Warriors, Warrington Wolves, Hull FC and Castleford Tigers stars have all landed themselves in trouble.

This is because the match review panel met yesterday to determine the punishments of Super League stars.

A full 14 players were charged by the match review panel with some getting two charges.

In fact, one player picked up two bans in the shape of King Vuniyayawa.

Another player banned was Castleford Tigers’ Jacob Miller which came after the suspension of Liam Horne last week for two games and the injury to Paul McShane.

So the club have turned to youngster Cain Robb recalling from his loan with Swinton Lions.

The Tigers are wrapped up in a battle with Wakefield Trinity to survive and need a response after losing 66-12 to Warrington Wolves.

Following the latest round of Betfred Super League & Betfred League One fixtures, the Match Review Panel have issued the following sanctions:

Oliver Partington (Salford Red Devils) – Grade A Dangerous Throw – £250 Fine
Oliver Partington (Salford Red Devils) – Grade B High Tackle – 1 Match Penalty Notice
Ryan Brierley (Salford Red Devils) – Grade B Other Contrary Behaviour – £250 Fine
Kallum Watkins (Salford Red Devils) – Grade B High Tackle – 1 Match Penalty Notice
King Vuniyayawa (Salford Red Devils) – Grade B High Tackle – 1 Match Penalty Notice
King Vuniyayawa (Salford Red Devils) – Grade B Dangerous Contact – 1 Match Penalty Notice
Chris McQueen (Huddersfield Giants) – Grade A Dangerous Contact – Not Applicable
George Williams (Warrington Wolves) – Grade A Dangerous Contact – Not Applicable
Jacob Miller (Castleford Tigers) – Grade C Dangerous Throw – 1 Match Penalty Notice
