Super League club by club guide: Where is your team predicted to finish in 2024?

Super League

2024 is here and only six weeks away is the new Super League season so now is the time for predictions and expectations.

So with that in mind, we have taken a look at every Super League club and predicted where every club will finish in 2024.

Without any further ado, here is where every club will finish in 2024.

Castleford Tigers

The Tigers had a rough 2023 but 2024 is set to be the start of a brand new era. Arguably, there is more importance on the off field developments but the squad looks in a healthier situation on the field of play under Craig Lingard. It won’t be a vintage season from the Tigers but it should be a slight improvement.

Key Player: Joe Westerman – One of the best loose-forwards in the league, he has been excellent since he switched back to Castleford Tigers in 2024.

Predicted Finish: 10th

Catalans Dragons

This is the start of a new era and it could be a year of teething problems as Steve McNamara builds a new team with an entirely new spine. They will still be a strong contender because of their home form but they will be less dominant in recent years.

Key Player: Theo Fages – One of the best halfbacks in recent Super League history, things didn’t go great at Huddersfield with injuries. He has big shoes to fill.

Predicted Finish: 5th

Huddersfield Giants

After finishing third and being minutes away from winning the Challenge Cup in 2022, 2023 was a massive comedown for the Giants as they missed out on the play-offs. They have made some big transfers but the Giants are an unknown quantity coming into 2024.

Key Player: Jake Connor – The Giants’ star signing for last year, the fullback has had a year to settle in and should be back to his best in 2024.

Predicted Finish: 8th

Hull FC

The black and whites are building under Tony Smith and have made some impressive signings but there are still problems in their squad. Jake Clifford hasn’t been replaced by an out and out seven which could be a problem.

Key Player: Tex Hoy – With no Clifford at the club anymore, the pressure will go on to star fullback Tex Hoy who at times showed his class in 2023.

Predicted Finish: 9th

Hull KR

2023 was an excellent year for the Robins and the club are set to kick on with some big name signings and real investment on and off the field. 2024 is set to be even better for the club.

Key Player: Jordan Abdull – If he can keep fit in 2024, Abdull will be in the Man of Steel picture and could fire the Robins even further up the table.

Predicted Finish: 4th

Leeds Rhinos

The Rhinos had a rough season in 2023 but have made some of the best and biggest signings ahead of the new season. On paper, this is the best looking Leeds squad for years and should be pushing for a spot in the top three.

Key Player: Brodie Croft – The former Man of Steel joins Leeds Rhinos after interest from across Super League and the NRL. If he clicks the Rhinos could be real contenders.

Predicted Finish: 3rd

Leigh Leopards

After a strong season in 2023, the question is will they suffer second season syndrome? The Leopards have signed well and will likely be at a similar level in 2024 as they were in 2023.

Key Player: Edwin Ipape – After a slow start in Super League from the Papua New Guinea star, he quickly became Super League’s best nine and that will again be the case in 2024.

Predicted Finish: 6th

London Broncos

Ranked 24th in IMG’s rankings, the London Broncos shocked everyone by winning promotion. Unfortunately, most are not expecting much from the Broncos in 2024.

Key Player: Rhys Kennedy – A great signing from Hull KR who will give the Broncos strength in the middle of the field.

Predicted Finish: 12th

Salford Red Devils

This off season has been a bit of a nightmare for the club. They have lost Ken Sio, Brodie Croft and Andy Ackers and Joe Burgess is set to follow suit. The situation with the stadium hasn’t helped either.

Key Player: Ryan Brierley – One player who has signed an extension with the club is fullback Brierley. He will be Salford’s main man in 2024.

Predicted Finish: 11th

St Helens

The former Champions want their trophy back. Crucially they have kept Jack Welsby and have replaced James Roby with Daryl Clark. They will again be up there near the top of the league.

Key Player: Jack Welsby – The face of Super League and the most complete player in the league, he could turn the club into Champions again.

Predicted Finish: 2nd

Warrington Wolves

The real enigma in Super League this year. A great squad and with Sam Burgess in charge of the club now, they are impossible to predict. They will be in the play-off picture for sure.

Key Player: George Williams- A great player but we are still yet to see England’s George Burgess for Warrington Wolves. If he can find that form, he could be the 2024 Man of Steel.

Predicted Finish: 7th

Wigan Warriors

The reigning Champions have adequately replaced every major player who has left the club this off-season and their key players have been kept at the club throughout the off-season. They are the obvious favourites.

Key Player: Bevan French – The Reigning Man of Steel, you wouldn’t bet against him retaining the award in 2024.

Predicted Finish: 1st

Predicted Super League Dream Team: Jack Welsby, Tom Johnstone, Harry Newman, Adam Keighran, Abbis Miski, Bevan French, Brodie Croft, Mikolaj Oledzki, Edwin Ipape, Matty Lees, Liam Farrell, James Batchelor, John Asiata

Young Player of the Year: Morgan Gannon

Man of Steel: Jack Welsby

Challenge Cup Winners: Leeds Rhinos

Grand Final Winners: Wigan Warriors
