Star player set for Huddersfield Giants return as Ian Watson names 24-man squad

Huddersfield take on Hull KR on Sunday as they continue their preparations for the 2022 campaign.

Ian Watson has named a fairly mixed squad with some notable absentees including Will Pryce and Theo Fages but with the likes of Tui Lolohea included.

Amongst the squad academy players Ethane Wainwright and Jayden Dayes are included but the most notable inclusion is the return of Jake Wardle.

The star centre has yet to feature for the Giants this pre-season owing to injury but is set to make his comeback at Craven Park tomorrow.

The game will also be a good chance for Ashton Golding or Olly Ashall-Bott to stake a claim for the fullback spot in Pryce’s absence whilst the Senior brothers, Louis and Innes, will both want to wrap up the wing spot before Huddersfield’s Super League opener away at Toulouse in two weeks’ time.
