Young Queensland winger Xavier Coates will miss Wednesday’s Origin decider through injury.
The 19-year-old scored a try in each of the first two games so far but Maroons head coach Wayne Bennett has confirmed he will miss Game III with a groin problem.
He was unable to complete the captain’s run ahead of the clash and has therefore been withdrawn from the matchday 17.
His replacement will be Newcastle Knights winger Edrick Lee, who will make his State of Origin debut.
His cousin and Melbourne Storm centre Brenko Lee has also been drafted into the starting side, with Bennett making late shuffles of his outside backs and back rowers.
The pair will join South Sydney fullback Corey Allan and highly-rated Storm hooker Harry Grant in making their first Origin appearances.
