Salford halfback banned

Salford Red Devils halfback Kevin Brown has been given a two-match penalty notice after being charged with Dangerous Contact.

Brown was sent to the sin bin in the closing stages of Salford’s 12-10 defeat against Huddersfield Giants on Friday for the contact with Jordan Turner.

Should Salford not appeal, he will miss the Red Devils’ upcoming matches against Leeds Rhinos and Wakefield Trinity.

Meanwhile, in the same game, Huddersfield’s Darnell McIntosh was also charged with Dangerous Contact. However, he will not miss any games, after only being charged with a Grade A offence.

Finally, there was four cautions handed out by the Match Review Panel this week.

St Helens pair James Bentley and Matty Costello were both given cautions for Dangerous Contact.

Meanwhile, Wigan halfback Tommy Leuluai and Leeds forward Ava Seumanufagai have also been given cautions for dangerous contact.
