Ryan Hall to leave Hull KR ahead of reported Leeds Rhinos return

Hull Kingston Rovers have confirmed that England winger Ryan Hall will leave the club at the end of the current Super League season.

Hall has enjoyed a superb stint with the Robins since signing ahead of the 2021 Super League season, scoring 52 tries in 83 appearances.

His move to Rovers came after a tough spell in the NRL with the Sydney Roosters where injuries hampered any chance to make a real impact down under.

However, Hall has reignited his career with the Robins and even forced himself back into the England squad ahead of the Rugby League World Cup in 2022.

LeedsLive have since reported that Hall, who is now 36, is set for a sensational return to play for the Leeds Rhinos in the 2025 Super League season.

The report states that Hall has signed an initial one-year deal with the Rhinos and is guaranteed a role at the club following his retirement, though he could still play on beyond the 2025 season.

It’s surprising news given Hall’s age, however, his ability is clearly still there and he will now seemingly bow out his career in the blue and amber he donned for over a decade.

Hall was part of the Leeds team that between 2007 and 2018, won an incredible seven Super League titles, with the winger scoring 233 tries in 330 appearances.

Is Hall a good signing for Leeds?

Known as the World’s Best Winger (WBW) during his time at Headingley, Hall is adored by the Leeds fans and the Oulton Raiders junior will no doubt be relishing the opportunity to finish his career with his hometown club.

But the signing is a surprising one given Hall’s ageing years, however, his experience will undoubtedly provide the Leeds dressing room with some much-needed know-how.

It will be interesting to see if England’s all-time top try-scorer has a starting spot in the Leeds team next season, but either way Hall’s return is likely to be welcomed by Rhinos fans as they seek for the glory days to return to Headingley again.
