Rugby League News: Police investigate ex-Wigan man’s death, O’Neill’s new club, Blake Ferguson’s huge Super League offer & Warrington and St Helens signings?

It has been a busy 24 hours with major stories breaking from Super League and the NRL.

Here is a round-up of everything that has happened…

Major Hull signing

Hull FC have brought in another major signing as head coach Brett Hodgson pulls off a big coup.

It follows the news that Jake Trueman has joined the Black and Whites from Castleford Tigers. Read more here.

Leeds Rhinos have signed a rival Super League forward as Rohan Smith attempts to rebuild his squad.

St Helens head coach Kristian Woolf is set to identify a replacement for outgoing winger Regan Grace.

Grace is leaving for rugby union at the end of the year and Woolf is set to bring in someone from outside the club. Read more here.

Most ill-disciplined sides revealed

Super League’s most ill-disciplined sides revealed in terms of the number of cards being awarded to teams.

There is a surprise at the top with two clubs sharing top spot with a total of THIRTEEN cards. Read more here.

Richardson future

Danny Richardson has told the Yorkshire Post about how relaxed he is about his future at Castleford Tigers.

He said: “There’s been conversations, nothing major. The lads know my stance: I love it at Cas and love playing for Radders (Lee Radford). Hopefully we get something sorted soon.”

Crooks set for exit

Ben Crooks is set to exit Hull KR after a number of years at the club, the Hull Daily Mail has revealed.

It follows an overhaul by new head coach Willie Peters who will be looking to shape his squad in the months to come.

O’Neill’s new club

Former Castleford Tigers star Jacques O’Neill’s new club has reportedly been revealed. O’Neill exited the Love Island villa last weekend. Read more here.

Bradford pitch criticism

Bradford Bulls were forced to answer questions about the state of Odsal at a fans’ forum after the stadium was criticised.

Warrington Wolves have been extremely active in the transfer market in recent weeks and they look to have signed another.

Scathing Hull assessment

Sky Sports pundits Barrie McDermott and Jon Wilkin launched a scathing assessment of Hull FC over the weekend.

FC went down 60-0 to the Wigan Warriors with Bevan French breaking the Super League record with seven tries in a game. Read more here.

Salford Red Devils CEO Ian Blease has called out Sky Sports pundit Jon Wilkin.

Cas, Saints and Leeds men charged

Castleford Tigers, a St Helens duo and a Leeds Rhinos man have all been charged by the Disciplinary Match Review Panel. Read more here.

French future

Bevan French’s future at the Wigan Warriors has taken another twist following the club’s big win over Hull FC on Friday night.

Italian police investigate ex-Wigan man

Italian police are said to be investigating the death of former Wigan Warriors and St Helens forward Ricky Bibey following his death in Florence over the weekend.

Bibey’s partner was also found seriously injured in the hotel room. Read more here.
