It has been a busy 24 hours with major stories breaking from Super League and the NRL.

Here is a round-up of everything that has happened…

Schofield’s Leeds warning

Leeds Rhinos legend Garry Schofield has sent out a warning to the Leeds Rhinos ahead of their next few games, the Yorkshire Evening Post has reported.

Schofield was also unhappy with the halfback pairing of Aidan Sezer and Blake Austin. He said: “We tried (at halfback) with Richie Myler, failed; we tried with Robert Lui, failed; we tried Luke Gale, failed and Tui Lolohea, failed. Now with these two, the jigsaw is still puzzled. Can these two do it week in and week out to get Leeds to where they want to be? No, I don’t think they can. That search is still going on, because I don’t think these two are the answer.”

SL star’s stammer

Huddersfield Giants star Leroy Cudjoe has spoken to the Daily Mirror about his stammer and his life in rugby league.

Cudjoe said: “I’ve had my stammer for as long as I can remember and it’s still a big challenge.”

Injury blows

St Helens, Warrington Wolves, Hull FC and Leeds Rhinos are just four of the Super League sides that have suffered injuries from this weekend’s games.

The likes of Alex Walmsley and Mikolaj Oledzki will be put under the microscope ahead of round five. Read more here.

Challenge Cup draw

The Challenge Cup Sixth Round draw was made last night live on BBC Look North with Tanya Arnold hosting.

Leigh new signing leaves

A Leigh Centurions signing, who put pen to paper on a deal ahead of the 2022 season, has left without playing a game.

He has also found a new UK club and could play as early as this weekend. Read more here.

Hodgson blow

Canberra Raiders star and England international Josh Hodgson has suffered a major blow after round one, the Daily Telegraph has reported.

Hodgson will be out for almost a month after injuring cartilage in his knee. Read more here.

Kendall calling

Super League referee Chris Kendall has become the first referee to do this as the new season gets well underway.

Kendall has become one of the top officials in the sport in recent years with regular appearances at finals. Read more on his first here.

Former Castleford Tigers star Rangi Chase has explained why Castleford Tigers have had a poor start to the 2022 Super League season.

Koukash’s brilliant move

Former Salford Red Devils owner Dr Marwan Koukash has launched a brilliant move in light of world events that are happening.

Coote latest

Hull KR head coach Tony Smith has given the latest on star signing Lachlan Coote after the fullback missed last week’s win over Salford Red Devils.

Hefty bans

A number of hefty bans have been given out by the Disciplinary Match Review Panel following last weekend’s games. Those affected centre around St Helens, Wigan Warriors, Hull FC and Leeds Rhinos with two stars potentially facing EIGHT-MATCH bans. Read more here.
