It has been a busy 24 hours with major stories breaking from Super League and the NRL.

Here is a round-up of everything that has happened…

Dwyer shock move?

Last night, Sky Sports pundit Jenna Brooks said that Leeds Rhinos hooker Brad Dwyer could be set for a shock move to a Super League rival in 2023.

Powell drops Widdop hint

Warrington Wolves head coach Daryl Powell dropped a big hint on Gareth Widdop last night following the club’s 12-10 defeat to St Helens.

Mata’utia future

St Helens are set to hand a contract extension to back-rower Sione Mata’utia after an impressive number of seasons at the Totally Wicked Stadium.

He went up against his brother, Peter, last night. That’s according to the Manchester Evening News.

SL star swindled

A Super League star has told BBC 5 Live about how he was swindled out of a quarter of a million pounds.

Charnley rejected

A Super League side has rejected a move for Josh Charnley who will be leaving Warrington Wolves at the end of the 2022 season.

A number of destinations have been touted but he will not be heading to one club. Read more here.

Ten-match ban

A star could be handed a TEN-MATCH ban following last weekend’s fixtures with bans for Castleford Tigers and Featherstone Rovers men too.

‘Strong rumour’

Eddie and Stevo, on the Eddie and Stevo podcast, revealed that there is a ‘very strong rumour’ linking a Super League coach with a move.

Thompson future

A new club has emerged in the hunt for Canterbury Bulldogs man Luke Thompson, according to the Sydney Morning Herald.

Thompson last played Super League back in 2019 before leaving for the NRL midway through the year. Read more here.

Warrington’s major signing

Warrington Wolves have reportedly signed their second major target, according to the World Wide of Sports.

It follows news earlier in the week that Daryl Powell had made his first big signing for 2023. Read more here.

Gale p*ssed off?

Hull FC halfback Luke Gale should be p*ssed off according to former Black and Whites star Paul Cooke. Cooke, in his Hull Daily Mail column, believes that Gale should be striving to ensure he is not dropped again. Read more here.

Gelling’s shock return

Former Wigan, Warrington, Widnes and Leigh star Anthony Gelling has made a shock return to rugby league.

The rangy centre had taken time away from the game to focus on property but he is returning. Read more here.

Castleford Tigers head coach Lee Radford has revealed he was ‘worried’ about this major event at the start of the 2022 season.

Hardaker latest

Leeds Rhinos head coach Rohan Smith has given the latest on Zak Hardaker following his first game back in a Leeds shirt.

Super League players are reportedly in talks with the Dolphins head coach Wayne Bennett, according to Fox Sports.
