Super League side yet to sign for 2024
It’s the time of the year when players make commitments for 2024 and beyond and that’s seen plenty of confirmed moves for next year in Super League. One side that’s confirmed some outgoings is Leeds Rhinos, however they’re yet to confirm any signings. Given what coach Rohan Smith said to the press it seems they might not have recruited anyone yet.
Wire star potentially set for sacking
Josh McGuire has had a difficult start to life on Super League with a ban on debut and he now faces another potential huge ban. It’s been reported down under by the Mole of Wide World of Sports that Warrington could consider sacking him given his disciplinary issues.
Decision made on Farrell switch
Owen Farrell has had a brilliant rugby union career but as the son of a rugby league legend and being a rugby league player as a child it’s always been wondered how he’d fare in the 13-man game. It’s now been reported by the Rugby Paper that Wigan have decided to distance themselves from a potential move.
Rhinos target opts for mega money deal
Leeds Rhinos have long been linked with Luke Brooks of Wests Tigers but it seems that the ship may have finally sailed with Brooks set to remain in the NRL according to the newest reports. Rohan Smith was asked about those reports and made a very coy comment on the matter.
NRL trio Super League bound?
Reports from down under have suggested that three players from one NRL side are free to leave their club, something which could create a frenzy from Super League clubs to try and gain their signature.
Overseas star to be allowed to leave
Leeds Rhinos have a pairing in the halves of two incredibly talented players in Blake Austin and Aiden Sezer. Whilst the pair had success together in the NRL it just hasn’t clicked in Super League and Sky commentator Stuart Pyke has revealed one is set to be allowed to walk.
