The Super League disciplinary action has slowed down in recent weeks after the peak of Round One which saw a whopping 16 charges, however, Round Eleven could also draw a whole host of charges after six action-packed games.
The action kicked off on Thursday night with Warrington Wolves going top of Super League with a controlled win over Hull KR. Wire raced into an 18-0 lead as they exposed the Robins’ right edge and despite an improved second-half performance from the visitors, Sam Burgess’ side won 20-8.
That was a game without its disciplinary concerns but the same couldn’t be said for Friday night with two red cards in the Castleford Tigers and St Helens game. Saints managed to run out as 60-4 winners despite losing Tommy Makinson in the 12th minute, but Cas capitulated after going down to 12 themselves conceding 46 points in the final 28 minutes.
Leigh’s good form continued after the hiccup last week when they drew against Castleford Tigers, the Leopards running out as 40-12 winners over Salford Red Devils.
Saturday’s action kicked off with a yellow card as Liam Byrne was sent for ten for the first tackle in the game against Huddersfield, however, it wouldn’t stop Wigan from running riot in the second half as they won 48-6.
There was another one-sided scoreline that day with Catalans Dragons beating Leeds Rhinos 26-0 in a game packed with errors, adding more pressure to head coach Rohan Smith.
The result of the weekend came on Sunday though as London Broncos landed their first win of the season with a 34-18 win over Hull FC but it wasn’t a game without controversy. Chris Kendall put an incident on report early on and there was also a yellow card shown, meaning that it’s a game that will garner plenty of Super League disciplinary attention.

There likely won’t be any Super League disciplinary issues to come from the Warrington and Hull KR game on Thursday but Friday’s action will certainly warrant a second look.
Both Tommy Makinson and Liam Horne were sent off for head contact and a tip tackle respectively, whilst Friday’s other game saw a couple of incidents that went unpunished on the field.
Leigh’s Owen Trout was involved in a tackle that injured Jack Ormnondroyd with Kevin Brown on commentary referring to it as a crusher tackle, something that could garner a charge.
As for Saturday, there were two yellow cards in the Huddersfield and Wigan game, notably Liam Byrne’s in the first minute which Jon Wilkin claimed should be a red card based on the fact Tommy Makinson was sent off the night before.
Esan Marsters also saw yellow for tripping in that game, whilst plenty of focus will be on London’s game.
Chris Kendall put an incident on report with a Hull FC player believed to have made “inappropriate comments”, something that the RFL have confirmed to Serious About Rugby League will be investigated as part of today’s Super League disciplinary process.
Jordan Lane also was sent to the sin bin but the identity of the player involved in the incident on report will be of key interest.
Below is a list of those players who could be in hot water.
Owen Trout (Crusher Tackle that injured Ormondroyd)
Tommy Makinson (Red Card – Head Contact)
Liam Horne (Red Card – Tip Tackle)
Liam Byrne – (Yellow Card – High Tackle on 1st Tackle of the Game)
Esan Marster – (Yellow Card for tripping)
Jordan Lane (Yellow Card)

Yes it does seems one for wiganrlfc and for the other teams as what I have seen upto now wiganrlfc have had everything against them and all the other teams have got off with it so if anyone else is getting away then look at the ref and video ref so they are the ones who are getting away with it
