The St George Illawarra Dragons are reportedly planning a shock swap deal that would see Gareth Widdop return to his former club, with out-of-favour half Corey Norman going to Warrington in return.
According to The Daily Telegraph, St George are keen to move Norman on, but the off-contract star is yet to generate interests from other clubs around the league.
Therefore, a move to Super League could be on the horizon.
Norman made his State of Origin debut in last years series, but has become the focus of heavy criticism throughout his spell with the Dragons.
The Daily Telegraph’s Paul Kent appeared on NRL 360 and said, “Gareth Widdop has reached out to the Dragons about a possible return to the Dragons.”
“Steve Price who is now the Warrington coach has been involved in the discussions so we wait and see.”
