Reports: Warriors go all out to sign Murdoch-Masila

New Zealand Warriors are reportedly set to sign Tongan backrower Ben Murdoch Masila for the 2021 season.

According to the NZ Herald, the Warrington star will join the Auckland club for the 2021 NRL campaign once he has fulfilled his commitments to the Super League club.

Murdoch-Masila struggled in the NRL after making his debut in 2010, but the former Wests Tigers and Penrith Panthers player could now look to revitalise his career in Australia after a successful Super League stint.

The 28-year-old signed for the Salford Red Devils in 2016, and has established himself as one of Super League’s best forwards.

After a big-money move to Warrington in 2018, he helped the Wolves secure Challenge Cup glory the following season and has established himself as a key part of the rapidly-rising Tongan national team.

With many current Warriors’ players out of contract at the end of the 2020 season, fans will be happy the club are looking to secure new signings for 2021 and beyond.
