Clubs like Leeds Rhinos, Wigan Warriors, Warrington Wolves and Hull KR have all confirmed major signings for 2024 but one interesting club in terms of recruitment is Hull FC.
The Black and Whites had a difficult situation when it comes to recruitment and retention in 2023 because of the number of players out of contract.
They have lost the likes of Brad Dwyer who is reportedly headed to Warrington Wolves as well as Chris Satae who is set to join Catalans Dragons in 2024.
Adam Swift is widely believed to be leaving the club as well at the end of the season. The loss of Jake Clifford to North Queensland Cowboys has already been confirmed.
The Black and Whites though have seemingly moved closer to completing a major signing in the shape of Wests Tigers backrow Shawn Blore.
This was initially reported by the Hull Daily Mail but the interest from Hull has also been reported by Fox League in Australia.
According to the Daily Telegraph earlier this year the Wests Tigers second-row was looking for a new club effective immediately which initially opened the door for a Super League side to swoop in for the 22-year-old.
Blore has made 23 appearances for the Tigers since debuting in 2020 however last year he suffered a huge blow as his season was ended prematurely by an ACL injury.
Hull have seemingly missed out on another NRL signing in the shape of Adam Clune who is reportedly headed to Huddersfield Giants.
Hull FC were the club who had led the way initially and recently that interest was confirmed by Newcastle Herald reporter Barry Toohey.
“I think there is interest. Hull are keen on Adam Clune and that is the talk. Whether he is prepared to go to England, I’m not 100% sure and there is talk that he is not,” Toohey said on the Toohey’s News podcast.
“I know the Knights haven’t discarded signing Adam Clune for next season. I’m not sure how far Hull are down the track with Clune or even if they are down the track with Clune going to England.
“I think he would be very good over there, he has played the last few NSW Cup games and he has played very well. I would try and keep him.”
