Reports: Rankin finds new club

Former Castleford and Huddersfield fullback Jordan Rankin is reportedly close to joining Paramatta Eels for the rest of the season.

Wide World of Sports reporter The Mole reports Rankin will play out the rest of the season with Paramatta.

He says: “At 28, Rankin – who was the third-youngest player to debut in the NRL in 2008 – will add depth and experience to the Eels.

“The former Gold Coast Titan and Wests Tiger can play just about anywhere in the backline and will be a handy addition to the Eels’ ranks.”

Rankin was granted a release a few weeks ago by loan club Castleford Tigers, and parent club Huddersfield Giants to return to Australia on compassionate grounds.
