Radford hails returning stars ahead of Catalans clash

Lee Radford admitted he is relieved to welcome back four key players ahead of Hull’s visit of Catalans tomorrow.

Back-to-back defeats to St Helens and Wigan has dampened spirits in West Hull after taking maximum points from the opening two games.

But the return of Albert Kelly and Chris Satae from suspension, and Carlos Tuimavave and Manu Ma’u from injury, will give the Black and Whites every opportunity to return to winnings ways.

While hailing the return of all his stars, Radford revealed that new signings Ma’u, who has not featured since the opening day win at Leeds, is raring to get back out on the pitch.

“We need him back, performing like he did in round one,” said Airlie Birds coach

“We’ve seen what he can do obviously, on the field and obviously at training, and I’m looking forward to see him go again on Sunday.

“It’s been like having a brand new car, and not having the keys to it. He’s been down, he’s wanting to be on the field.

“Every player obviously wants to participate and put their best foot forward.”
