Warrington Wolves Head Coach Steve Price has said he is expecting a tough game from a Huddersfield Giants side desperate to put their defeat against Wakefield right.
The Wire will take on Huddersfield after Salford couldn’t raise a team for their clash on Friday. Huddersfield were also left without opponents, as Castleford reported what is now 13 positive cases for COVID-19.
Warrington beat Huddersfield 19-18 last time out, with a Blake Austin drop-goal the difference. Since then, there has been a change at the top, as Luke Robinson replaced Simon Woolford as Head Coach.
Despite this, Price says he is still expecting difficulties from a strong side.
He said: “They are going to be a desperate team. I am sure they will be hurting after their defeat against Wakefield.
“It’s the strongest team they have put out for a long time now. They have two quality halves in Lee Gaskell and Aidan Sezer, who is probably the in-form player in the competition.
“You also have a really strong forward pack and a really good left-centre in Jake Wardle, who has been lighting up the competition.
“It’s going to be a tough challenge, but one we are looking forward to. We need to keep growing our game until we get to where we need to be.”
