Price calm over Catalans status

Warrington Wolves Head Coach Steve Price has said he is calm over the current situation regarding their game against Catalans Dragons.

The Wire are due to travel to Perpignan on Monday for their Super League clash with the Dragons, although that fixture is in doubt over the COVID status of Catalans.

Catalans were forced to cancel their match against Hull FC after seven positive tests at the club. A decision is expected over the game tomorrow.

Price said: “We have done that travel for a number of years. We will find out on Saturday, but we are desperate to play.

“It is something the players enjoy.

Sometimes they cannot even have a shower, there are a lot of restrictions in place, but it is what it is this season.

“It’s normal training for us. We had a few days off and come back. We had another good session today. We can only do what we can do.

“Everything will carry on to schedule, so we have a day off tomorrow and then do a captain’s run on Sunday. Whatever happens, will happen.”
