Marwan Koukash provokes reaction with past photo

Dr Marwan Koukash has revealed the photo that will stay with him forever.

The Salford Red Devils Twitter account had called on Salford fans to share the images that would last with them forever and Koukash posted the infamous Million Pound Game photo of him on the field at Craven Park, Hull KR after their golden-point victory.

Koukash hasn’t been involved in the sport since 2017 – when he handed over control of Salford to a community trust, four years after stepping in to save the club.

But, in a previous interview, the Palestine-born millionaire could team up with Leigh owner Derek Beaumont.

“I miss the involvement in rugby league,” Koukash said.

“It’s in my blood, I’m hooked on it and I would love to get involved again. I know for sure I will never get involved with Salford for various reasons.

“But I have a special love for Leigh and maybe one day I might be joining Derek [Beaumont].”
