London Broncos star Will Lovell in hospital following serious-looking neck injury

A London Broncos player was taken to hospital following a sickening clash in their fixture against Workington Town today.

That player was Will Lovell, with time paused for a long time as both sets of supporters looked worryingly on.

The game was broadcast on Premier Sports with commentators paying tribute to Lovell as he was taken to hospital.

However, the club has since tweeted again tonight, confirming that there were no broken bones: “Pleased to end a tough day with positivity regarding Will Lovell’s injury Charlie Baxter, head of medical said: “X-rays have shown there is no fracture of the neck or shoulder.” Interim head coach Mike Eccles: “Overall, positive news, further detail as soon we have it.”

Everyone at Serious About Rugby League passes on their well wishes to Will and fingers crossed for a speedy recovery.
