Kai Pearce-Paul breaks silence on Wigan Warriors exit with emotional farewell to “amazing club”

Though Kai Pearce-Paul will be a Wigan Warriors player in 2023, he won’t be staying at the DW Stadium beyond that as he moves to the NRL alongside Huddersfield Giants star Will Pryce to the Newcastle Knights.

Their moves have long been speculated and have now been confirmed.

The two have both signed two-year deals with the Knights keeping them at the club until 2025.

So, Pearce-Paul has an exciting future ahead of him but what he has done at Wigan is not lost on him and he made an emotional goodbye on Twitter:

“Now that the club has made the news public re my future after this coming season, I wanted to take the opportunity to let everyone know how proud I am that I play for Wigan.

“Even though I am from London, Wigan has become my home over the last 3 years. I love the club, the players, the staff and most of all the fans.

“I have learnt so much from everyone here and have felt privileged to wear the badge. I am very grateful to Matty, Kris and lan for their belief in me since arriving here and helping me settle into a completely new environment.

“I am extremely grateful for the opportunity which the Knights have given me and I am excited for the next part of my journey. I will always continue to give 100% to Wigan for the duration of my time here.”
