Jon Wilkin and Sam Tomkins have had a brutal say on Castleford Tigers after their start to the season.
The Castleford Tigers have started the season with four defeats in a row and Sam Tomkins said they had no chance of beating Catalans Dragons on Sky Sports.
He said: “Absolutely not, I think Castleford, their coach has come out and said he’s had to make changes after what they dished up last week.
“He’s brought in some players that have been fringe players, reserve players I think. Catalans are going to be far too strong for them.
“He’s running out of ways in which he can motivate his squad, Craig Lingard?”
Jon Wilkin then hilariously compared the Castleford Tigers to a tiger you might see in a zoo: “The Tigers for me are like that tiger, you know you go to the safari park and you see the tiger and you’re expecting this wild, voracious animal and it’s literally just licking his paws on a shelf and you think, that’s where Cas are at the minute. They’re busted.”
Playing against Super League side like practice
They were also brutal in their assessment of London with Sam Tomkins comparing playing against them to practice on Sky Sports: “I think Warrington are getting better and better. I think they they’re obviously finding the style of play with the coach and the team and they’ve got confidence in each other.
“You know it’s a it’s a nice way to practice I think going down to London. I think they’re gonna win comfortably.
“Practice for the big games when they’re gonna have to be better. They can win this game at about 50%.”
Jon Wilkin meanwhile praised the Wolves: “What excited me about Warrington was Matt Duffy got man of the match but you know what I saw, I saw George Williams who’s a star player have some really magical touches and a tough night on a tough field and I just feel that George Williams will just grow into this season.”
