Jesse Sene-Lefao speaks out on Featherstone move with Rovers set for more big name signings

Jesse Sene-Lefao was finally unveiled as a Featherstone Rovers player after a long period of speculation.

And, he is not the only major signing set to become a Rover, hinted chief executive Martin Vickers.

In 2017, the Samoan international came to the UK to join Castleford Tigers with whom he made 100 appearances, winning the League Leaders’ Shield in 2017.

But, Vickers was keen to let Featherstone fans know that he will not be the only one through the doors at the Millennium Stadium.

Vickers commented: “The signing of Jesse is a real statement of intent by Mark and the Board as we look to go one step further in 2022.

“This is the culmination of a lot of hard work by the Club to get this over the line and we are grateful to the Squad builder fund and our new major sponsor Logic Lettings in working with us to get this matter finalised.

“I would reiterate to our loyal supporters that to make signings like this at a time when our broadcast revenues have been drastically cut, we need your support now in signing up with your season membership for 2022 or for the Squad builder membership, I will reassure you that there will more strong signings to follow what is already a fantastic squad of players.”

Sene-Lefao himself cannot wait to get started at the club: “I’m so grateful to be here, it’s so special in so many ways.

“I’ve been talking to the fans and doing my research to understand the significance of the club within the local community, I feel so privileged to be here, even though I haven’t played a game yet, I feel a part of the community, I love the fans, it’s just such a good community to be around.

“I really can’t wait to get out there, play on the main pitch, and show the goods.”
