Important information released for Leeds Rhinos’ away clash with Wigan Warriors live on Sky Sports

With a new storm set to inflict its impact on the UK this week, a weather warning has been issued for this Friday.

Leeds Rhinos are set to travel to Wigan Warriors on Friday night for a clash live on Sky Sports, but fans making the trip over have been notified about the potential upset on the way there.

The Oldham Weather Twitter page – who is a columnist that works for the Oldham Chronicle newspaper in the North East – tweeted: “⚠️ FRIDAY – one to watch for sure!

“#StormEunice’s actual track is still uncertain but the potential is there for some damaging winds. Yellow warning in place across the entire region which might be upgraded.

“Heavy rain followed by wintry showers. Risk of hill-snow. Cold. 6°C.”

It’s the first that time that Leeds and Wigan have met since last year’s semi-final play-off game which resulted in a less-than impressive affair.

The Rhinos ran out 8-0 winners that day, but this is a completely different Warriors outfit in 2022 under new head coach Matt Peet.

Alongside Peet sit Lee Briers and Sean O’Loughlin as assistant coaches, whilst Shaun Wane has returned to the club in a leadership role.

Therefore, this Friday’s game points to a classic between the two sides as Leeds prepare for Blake Austin and Aidan Sezer to make their competitive partnership debut in Super League.

Let’s hope they don’t get blown away in the travel over the Pennines!
