Hull KR v Castleford: Predicted line-ups and late injury news

Both Hull KR and Castleford put their play-off hopes on the line as the two face each other tonight. A win for the Tigers would guarantee their place inside the top six whilst a defeat for the Robin would turn their trip to Headingley into a must win clash.

It will be interesting to see what team Tony Smith names this weekend. He made whole sale changes for the Magic Weekend clash and I think we could see that 17 merge with their strongest side. Will Dagger could remain at fullback thanks to the strain placed on Smith’s squad. The only alternative is Ben Crooks and if the former Hull FC man starts at  one, Jimmy Keinhorst will come into the backs. Brad Takairangi will remain in the backrow thanks to the mass of injuries plaguing their pack whilst Smith has a huge conundrum in the halves. Jordan Abdull could return to the side and add extra spice to the Robins but who will partner him? Will it be Mikey Lewis or Rowan Milnes?

As for Castleford, their pack is also stretched thanks to the absence of Cheyse Blair and Grant Millington on top of Liam Watts’ suspension. However, Daryl Powell should have extra options in the backs. Jordan Turner could return to the wing whilst Danny Richardson and Gareth O’Brien return to the halves. However, it’s not all rosy for Powell. It’s highly likely he won’t risk Paul McShane after his injury against Salford however a late fitness test could see him feature.
