Hull forward out for five weeks

Hull FC forward Manu Ma’u has been ruled out for up to five weeks with an MCL strain.

Ma’u picked up the injury during his side’s win at Leeds on Sunday, with the club confirming he would be out for “four to five weeks.”

Meanwhile, the club also confirmed Gareth Ellis will face the next two weeks out after picking up an ankle knock in the same game.

The bad news doesn’t stop there either, as Joe Cator has been ruled out for a month with a hamstring injury. The new signing from Leigh picked up the injury during pre-season.

However, the Black and Whites have been boosted by the return of Danny Houghton to face Hull KR. Houghton had been out after recovering from off-season surgery.
