Huddersfield Giants winger Louis Senior joins new club effective immediately

Huddersfield Giants winger Louis Senior is set to leave the club effective immediately.

Senior is one of two twins alongside brother Innes who burst onto the scene back in 2018 due to the powerful frames, speed and try scoring ability.

Both can play centre and wing and it was believed the duo would be the basis Huddersfield built their outside backs upon.

Last season it was Louis ahead of his brother Innes in the pecking order with Innes joining Wakefield on loan for the season. He was also picked ahead of him in the squad numbers this season but after both featured in the Round One win over Toulouse, coach Ian Watson settled on Innes Senior on the left wing and he has established himself as first choice in the role even starting the cup final there despite his brother’s hat-trick against eventual cup final opponents Wigan just two weeks prior.

That shows Louis’ try scoring ability so he should be quite the asset to his new side Hull KR who are currently ravaged by injury and sweating on the availability of star winger Ryan Hall for the Magic Weekend derby.

He signs initially on loan but will become a Hull KR player on a permanent basis from 2023 despite the fact Huddersfield offered him a deal.

It ends a journey with Huddersfield and his brother that has lasted for years with the duo coming through the academy together.
