Huddersfield Giants announce impressive ticket sales for the Magic Weekend

2022 could be Huddersfield Giants’ finest season in Super League.

Alongside 2013, this has been the stand out season from the Giants. They’ve already contested a Challenge Cup Final this year and were minutes away from victory in the capital and seem set for a spot in the top four after a real consistent start to the campaign and their methodical approach enabled by a top notch pack.

They also have an excellent squad allowing them to cover for injuries such as the high profile losses of Chris Hill and Theo Fages.

There is a real optimism around the club and the Giants have a realistic chance of making the Grand Final for the first time in years and this has created a really great atmosphere around the club and on matchdays.

That is also reflective in the number of fans Huddersfield will take to Newcastle for the Magic Weekend.

The Giants revealed that over 1000 fans will make the trip to St James’ Park on Sunday for a huge game against the in form Salford Red Devils with a repeat of their classic 2012 encounter at the event possible.

Hull KR and Hull FC have been the pace setters in terms of ticket sails but the Giants can proud of the amount of tickets sold and more could still be sold prior to tomorrow’s deadline.

They’re the first game on Day Two ahead of clashes between Warrington and Catalans and a huge Hull derby with both sides chasing a play-off spot.
