Leeds created history with 14-0 win over Wigan at the DW Stadium tonight. The Rhinos became the first side in the Super League era to keep the Warriors scoreless at home as they jumped up to fifth in the table on the back of an impressive showing against last year’s Grand Finalists. Well, that was my take anyway, but what was yours? How did social media react.
Naturally, plenty of Leeds fans revelled in the fact they were the first team in 30 years to nil the Warriors at home also becoming the first team to keep Wigan scoreless at the DW Stadium.

Others enjoyed the fact Leeds were able to win despite a pair of yellow cards in the first half. Leeds even took the lead when down a man at the end of the first period.
Actually
Calm down Leeds fansโฆ.
Weโve only beat a team 14-0 who had an advantage over us for 20 mins

However, plenty of Leeds fans were thankful for a win at Wigan. After all, the last time they won away at the DW Stadium was in September 2013.

But who were the stars of the show? Man of the Match Kruise Leeming received a lot of attention with. They’ve been impressed by his adaption to the halves this season.
Had we of not signed Austin and Sezer for 2022, weโd all be very pleased with Leeming at 6

What a win from the boys tonight. Leeming and L Briscoe were superb. Gannon at 17yo is absolutely incredible!! @leedsrhinos

Great player that Leeming

Always nice to beat Wigan. Feel for Lam though. Loved him as a player.
Great defensive effort from the boys tonight. Leeming is getting better all the time.
Probably one of if not L. Briscoeโs best games in a Leeds shirt IMO.

Unsurprisingly, many Leeds fans wanted to take the opportunity to rub salt into Wigan fans’ wounds.

Speaking of Wigan fans, many blamed coach Adrian Lam for the poor performance.
What an inspirational speech by Adrian Lam. ๐คช. I bet your players feel much better after that.

Some feel he has to go despite delivering the League Leaders’ Shield last year and guiding them to Old Trafford.
Wonder if Adrian lam will get the chop by Wigan, then it would be lam chop
— Adam Start (@AdamStart_) August 25, 2021
Surely Adrian Lam has to go. Brought nothing to the table, clueless and The players donโt want to play for him. @WiganWarriorsRL

One supporter even compared his tenure to Kerion Cunningham’s ill-fated time in the St Helens’ hot seat. After all he was a club legend who struggled to bring success to the side. Is Lam following in his footsteps?
