Featherstone announce two friendlies

Featherstone Rovers have announced details of their two pre-season friendly matches that are scheduled to take place before the 2021 season.

James Webster’s men will first face Oldham RLFC on Saturday 6 March at 1:30pm. The second friendly is against Batley Bulldogs a week later on Saturday 13 March at 1:30pm.

Both ties will take place behind-closed-doors at the Millennium Stadium, however we will be bringing all the action from both these fixtures to Rovers TV for free.

Speaking on the friendly fixtures, Rovers Head Coach James Webster said: “As a group we are really excited to be closing in on the start of the season. As you start friendlies you always get that anticipation that competitive rugby is just around the corner.

“It’s fantastic that both Oldham and Batley have agreed to play us. We will be facing two strong, well coached sides. We will be using as many players that are physically ready so that we can prepare for the contact elements that players have obviously missed now for 12 months.”
